How to care for your gold-filled jewelry so it’ll last

All beautiful things need a little tender loving care, don’t they? I believe that if you love things well, they’ll love you right back. What this means for your gold-filled jewelry is that the better you care for it, the longer it’ll last you! It’s a win-win.

So here are my 3 Brittany-Approved ™️ tips for caring for your gold-filled jewelry:

  1. Avoid perfumes, fragrances, hairspray or scented lotions on your bracelets. The harsh chemicals in those products can tarnish your jewelry so this is the #1 most important tip.

  2. Wash your bracelets with warm water and mild soap. Especially after working out. The sweat from your body can affect the sheen of your bracelet. So it’s important to try and keep your jewelry clean and dry when you can!

  3. Try to keep your bracelets dry. Now I know this is not going to be possible 100% of the time. Afterall, you’ll be wearing your bracelets 24/7 but just be mindful after showers, baths, and getting your wrists wet to dry your bracelets.

PRO-TIP: Gently wipe your gold-filled piece with a jewelry polishing, non-scratch cloth every now and again to promote shine.
